Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the group reporting timeline for half- year and full- year close.
  • Partner with the Accounting Advisory function and Group Accounting Manager to draft position papers on technical accounting matters, for submission to the Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Review of group and subsidiary financial statements under various reporting regimes.
  • Advise on the implementation and maintenance of IFRS accounting policies.
  • Coordinate the preparation and review of annual impairment assessments, including goodwill, acquired intangibles and intangible assets not yet in use.
  • Collaborate with the ESG Team on the initial AASB S2 sustainability report, forming part of the financial year 2026 financial report, including sustainability standards applicable in future periods.
  • Facilitate the external audit, in collaboration with the wider finance team.
  • Collaborate with other finance leaders to facilitate training and development of finance team.
  • Champion projects that optimize workflows, reduce complexity, and embed best practice compliance standards.

Skills and Experience

We are seeking an experienced finance professional with a background in a large or mid-tier accounting firm, ideally at Manager or Senior Manager level (or equivalent), who has transitioned into a group reporting role.

  • CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of seven years’ post-qualification experience, demonstrated expertise in group reporting, consolidation, and technical accounting for multi-entity global operations. Exposure to ASX and IFRS standards is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for papers, audit liaison, and executive presentations.
  • Experience training and developing finance professionals.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, such as D365 and other finance automation tools.
